The Importance of Trusting Your Teams and Sourcing Local, Sustainable Produce with Chef Susy Massetti.

Today, Andy talks to celebrity chef, author, restaurant operator and farm owner Chef Susy Massetti.  Born above her mother’s restaurant, Chef Susy Massetti was literally born into the food and beverage industry and has worked in many places around the world, including Europe, the United States and, most recently, in the Middle East.  Chef Susy has also presented some TV series, including “The World Is My Oyster” and “Simply Susy” on PBS and OSN Living HD.

Susy’s career has involved being a personal chef to high profile individuals and operating her restaurants supplied by her organic farm, Roots & Shoots,  in Bahrain.  Today we chat about;

  • Why Susy will not eat in her own restaurants;
  • Why Character and Attitude are her main recruitment parameters, and;
  • Why Susy encourages her staff to tell customers when they don’t like a particular dish on their menu.
